Superframe is pleased to announce the next deadline for the framing fund to support selected artists with upcoming exhibitions. Successful recipients will receive up to $1500 to use toward framing their exhibition.

ANNOUnCING NEXT DEADLINE FOR FRAMING FUND, may 1ST 2024

Submission Guidelines:
To be eligible, artists must have a confirmed exhibition at an artist run centre, public institution or commercial gallery that opens after July 1st, 2024 and that requires assistance in framing or presenting. We encourage artists from all mediums, backgrounds and stages of career to apply

Deadlines:
Next deadline May 1st 2024 11:59 pm

Submission Requirements:
Please include the following in an attached zip folder in one email sent to awards@superframe.ca under the subject heading “Superframe Framing Award 2023”.

  1. CV (2 pages maximum)

  2. Artist statement and project/exhibition description
    (500 words or less) *Please include framing needs
    and plans. Proposals may include unconventional
    or unique framing requests

  3. Up to 10 images. Works included should be  for exhibition or images of work directly related to the proposal. (Formatted as JPEG, maximum 1 MB and titled as follows: “01_ArtistName_Title_2023) Applicants should also include a corresponding image list with titles, dates, medium and dimensions.

  4. Exhibition venue and dates

Selection Process:
All submissions will be reviewed by the Superframe award committee. All decisions are final. Selected artists will acknowledge the support of Superframe in the exhibition.
